A new 5km fun run will be taking place in the heartland in early 2016. Set on the evening of the eve of Valentine’s Day, Saturday 13 February 2016, Love On The Run brings the different expressions of love into the limelight.
The first of its kind run organised by MetaSport seeks to inspire participants to appreciate and acknowledge love that is present in everyday life among friends, family members, couples and loved ones. This run offers an exciting opportunity for all to spend quality time and engage with loved ones. Participants are encouraged to take part as a pair to be #bettertogether and jointly experience fun elements along the 5km route at the scenic Gardens by the Bay. If you do not have a running partner, fret not, you can let the organiser find you a running buddy. This is also an interesting way to get to know someone, think of it as a running blind date.
There will be various themed zones throughout the race route as participants flag off the run at 6 p.m. with energetic music to pump up the mood. Runners will get the opportunity to showcase their flexibility as they limbo rock their way through poles of varying heights. They can even customise and decorate their buddy’s and their own race tees along the route. After the run, each participant will also receive a specially prepared surprise gift presented by his or her running partner, followed by an evening of mingling and dancing at the post race after party till 9.30 p.m.
The registration opens today and early bird slots are on sale until 18 December 2015. Each registration will come with a premium goody bag worth S$120.
Early bird tickets per person start from S$63. Normal entry is S$70 per person. There is also the option of a deluxe package for an additional S$26 for early bird and S$28 for normal entry. Just proceed to the checkout section to add the option.
The deluxe entry allows you to enjoy a complimentary cocktail, an extra S$50 worth of goodies in your race pack plus a dip in the lucky draw with up to S$2,000 worth of prizes to be won.
The first 300 participants to purchase the deluxe tickets will also be entitled to a free entry in Zouk! Participants are encouraged to sign up in pairs – friends, family, or partners – and share their journey from registration to the event experience on 13 February with the hashtag #BetterTogether.
