Decathlon Singapore has introduced a fresh approach to buying running shoes, inviting the local running community to test its performance brand, KIPRUN, directly on the pavement. The new initiative, titled “Run First, Decide Later,” allows runners to purchase a pair of KIPRUN road running shoes and put them through their paces in real-world conditions.
Running from 13 March to 12 April 2026, the policy offers a 15-day free return window. If a runner finds that the shoe doesn’t perfectly suit their stride or comfort levels, they can return the worn shoes with no questions asked.
According to the brand, this programme reflects the belief that a running shoe’s true value is discovered during an actual run, rather than from taking a few steps inside a retail store. While choosing the right running shoe can often feel like a gamble, this trial aims to give runners the confidence to find the perfect fit without the usual fear of making the wrong choice.

A 4-Metre Treadmill Experience
To celebrate the launch, Decathlon is also bringing a unique physical activation to its Singapore Lab location in Kallang. Starting 24 March 2026, the store will host a family-sized, 4-metre-long treadmill. This communal setup is designed for runners, friends, and families to hop on together, clocking a few shared kilometres while testing out the KIPRUN lineup before heading out for their next run.

The updated KIPRUN collection—developed by runners in technical partnership with record-holding athletes—covers a spectrum of running needs, from daily easy miles to carbon-plated race days.
Here is a look at the newly released road models:
- Kipcore ($59.90): Positioned as a lightweight and reliable partner for daily training and gym sessions. This model uses M Foam for energy return and features a breathable knit upper.
- Kipride Max ($129.90): Billed as the most cushioned option in the range, it is designed for comfortable runs of up to 42km. It utilises SOFTECH+ foam technology for maximum shock absorption.
- Kipstorm Tempo ($149.90): A lightweight, high-stack super shoe built for faster training sessions. It features FASTECH+ foam—a premium Super Critical Foam (SCF)—engineered for increased energy return.
- Kipstorm Challenger ($149.90): A carbon-plated racing shoe designed for race day performance. It incorporates a full-length carbon plate for strong energy return, paired with ultra-light FASTECH+ foam for explosive propulsion.
