Wearable technology is a massive global industry, and it is entering a new wave of popularity due to a growing interest in self-knowledge through tracking. Gary Wolf coined the term ‘Quantified Self‘ to apply to this, and he is the founder of the ‘Quantified Self’ movement. In line with this trend, Sony are set to up the game for sports data analytics, and through their innovations users will be able to gather insights about their own sports performance.

Smart B-Trainer™
The latest from Sony’s collection is an all-in-one training device and application that literally motivates runners on their exercise regime with its range of features. Integrating Sony’s latest audio advancements with the latest sensor and software technologies, this sports companion provides a holistic exercise experience. The Smart B-Trainer™ comes in a non-slip neckband-style housing, allowing the modern runner to run as they like.
It is jammed pack with goodies including intelligent music playback based on heart rate monitoring, various training plans, and real time voice coaching. The Smart B-Trainer™ consists of the SSE-BTR1 headphone-integrated device that boasts six types of sensors – heart rate, acceleration, GPS, compass, gyro and barometer. It also measures and records 11 types of running logs – heart rate, burned calories, distance, time, speed, pace, cadence, steps, stride, running route and elevation.
4K FDR-X1000V Action Cam
