KL Tower International Towerthon Challenge is a signature sports event for Menara Kuala Lumpur for the past 11 years.

Since the inception of KL Tower International Towerthon Challenge in 1998, this event has been recognized and supported by Tourism Malaysia in the calendar of events.

Race Up 2058 Steps To Catch The Sunrise

This staircase run has gained much popularity amongst local and international sports enthusiasts, young and old, to challenge the tower with 1km run uphill before conquering 2,058 steps and reaching the top level at 283 meters above ground level. This event has become the spotlight of media attention over the years.

Attractive cash prizes are to be won, but the KL Tower International Towerthon’s true appeal lies in running up and catching the sunrise over KL’s bustling cityscape.

As such, in conjunction with the 13th year event, the next KL Tower International Towerthon Challenge 2014 will be the second Towerthon event to be held during sunrise, which will be held on 18 May 2014.

Fun For Locals and Foreigners Alike

In a nutshell, the development of the Towerthon has resulted in the formulation of a great sport, thus creating a healthy lifestyle and engaging closer ties among Malaysians and foreigners who participate in the race.

The KL Tower International Towerthon Challenge takes place on 18th May 2014.
