Puma Glow Run: Chasing Down the Party

There are thousands of partygoers in the streets, dancing from one stage to the next and having a great time. What seems like a bustling music festival is actually the Puma Glow Run, which recently finished its run across Australia.
Around 10,000 runners in Perth, Brisbane and Sydney ran through a custom-designed night run course spanning five kilometres, with three Glow Zones, which were marquees with resident DJ’s and lighting, for Glowers to dance and regroup before continuing on to the finish.
“At Glow Run’s core,” explains General Manager Joel Knott, “is the message that you can enjoy a natural, healthy high through an event that emphasises fun, that engages the senses, and that you share with community of like-minded glowers.”
Being an event celebrating feel-good living, fun, friendship and engaging the senses, runners were decked out in glow gear, and some even brought along handmade costumes to party.
The fun didn’t stop after crossing the finish line, as runners were treated to a great big party! While very different from the standard running events, the Puma Glow Run definitely channels the youthful fun and energy we all feel while running.
