The annual Song Hong Half Marathon is back on Hanoi’s streets for its 9th year this Sunday, 13 December 2015. This year, volunteer running group Red River Runners collaborates with Education for Nature Vietnam with a “Run for Rhinos” theme to highlight the illegal rhino horn trade in Vietnam.

Starting and finishing at the Ciputra Club, a new high-spec sport and leisure facility, the street-running event is the only distance race organised in the capital Ciputra International City in Hanoi’s Tay Ho district.

This is not your average race as you’ll be amongst the traffic in certain areas, giving you t he real flavour of what makes Hanoi unique. Half marathoners will be taken along lake-side roads as well as the more sedate confines of Ciputra. There will also be a 10 km and 5 km races and a fun run for kids.

About 500 runners are expected, including some international runners, so book your place in the race quickly!

Online Registration Open Till 10 Dec!

That’s right – you can still sign up and be part of this running event. Entry fees are US$30 for the half marathon and 10 km category, US$10 for the 5 km category and US$5 for the Kids Fun Run.

Half marathoners and 10 km runners receive a free Song Hong 2015 T-shirt.
