On Sunday, 2 April 2017, participants will have the opportunity to visit the romantic and historical island of Miyajima, where the Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is located and the numerous preserved shrines, wondrous temples and historical monuments by taking part in the 3rd Miyajima Marathon.
