SRIKANDI Tun Fatimah Sports Carnival is a special event to be held in conjunction with the Diamond Jubilee (60th) Celebration of Sekolah Tun Fatimah (STF), Johor Bahru, Malaysia, organised by its alumni, Srikandi Tun Fatimah. This fundraising event is organised mainly for the alumni of Sekolah Berasrama Penuh (SBP) and is the first of its kind ever organised by an alumni organisation.
The event objectives are to raise fund for STF under the programme ‘SK2STF’,to promote Batik Malaysia, to form stronger SBP alumni network and to promote healthy lifestyles, in-line with Fit Malaysia initiative by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Malaysia.
Batik Malaysia is our national heritage, which embodies fine art handcrafted to perfection and brought to life through the world of fashion. The famous motifs of Batik Malaysia are leaves and flowers, although geometrical designs are also popular. The evolution of Batik Malaysia can be seen in its versatility where its functionality is now extended beyond clothing.
Ministry of Tourism & Culture has played an essential role in ensuring Batik Malaysia remains fresh and appealing to local and international markets by supporting creative initiatives and activities such as this event.
