About the race
A Daruma doll is a traditional Japanese doll that is typically red, varies greatly in colour and design. Daruma dolls are regarded as a talisman of good luck to the Japanese and seen as a sign of luck and perseverance, making them a popular gift of encouragement. 7 is a Japanese good lucky number as its phonetic similarity to the word for togetherness. So let’s set our running goal to complete the double lucky 77km to earn the blessings of the Daruma Doll!
