The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) will be organising the Race For Responders (R4R) 2018, on Sunday, 25 November 2018. The R4R was started in 2016 to commemorate the work of emergency responders around the world by generating awareness on their noble lifesaving mission, as well as promoting fitness and nurturing camaraderie among them beyond the rescue and firefighting environment.
R4R 2016 was held at Marina Bay and R4R 2017 was held in the Singapore heartland at Punggol Waterway. The public witnessed local and international emergency responders covered a distance of 5km in their unique firefighting gear. R4R 2018 will bring our first responders up close to our locals – to establish a close-knitted community and build towards a nation of lifesavers.
The flag-off is expected to be at 0730 hrs and this event is only for SCDF personnel and invited guests.
