SPD Ability Walk 2018 is the 3rd walk that SPD is organising to raise funds in aid of its programmes and services. They comprise of therapy, vocational skills training, assistive technology, early intervention, day care, employment and educational & social support that enable and empower people with disabilities to be independent and self-reliant.
This walk aims to provide an opportunity for everyone of different abilities to walk together and serves to promote inclusion and raise awareness of disabilities. There will also be a post-walk carnival where participants can enjoy food, games, activities and stage performances.
Participants who have signed up for the walk will receive an event t-shirt and drawstring bag filled with goodies. The walk will cover a distance of approximately 3km and the route will take the participants through our historic Singapore River.
