The Color Run Singapore: Bright Colours and Grins at The Happiest 5K on the Planet

Last weekend saw The Color Run adorning Sentosa Island with splashes of vivid colors and glistening glitter thanks to its new “shine” color zones. Staying true to its signature of being “The Happiest 5K on the Planet”, the event had 16,000 ‘Color Runners’ grinning and squealing in glee as they emerged coated in colored glitter powder.

This is the third consecutive year the 5 km rainbow tour went around Sentosa island. As with past years, the fun continued beyond the finish line as runners partied to music hits in a colored glitter extravaganza.

In the spirit of community giving, The Color Run donated $1 from every registration to the Coalition Against Bullying for Children and Youth (CABCY) this year. A voluntary organisation which aims to spread awareness about and fight various forms of bullying, CABCY had a fun treat when they too joined in the revelry on Sunday’s run.

Since its global launch in 2011, The Color Run has spread joy to over four million participants in 500 global events. By year’s end, almost 120,000 color runners in Southeast Asia will have participated, including residents in Singapore, Jakarta, and Kuala Lumpur.
