Well congratulations, you have finished your race. Now you have your finisher medals to show your achievements but after a few races under your belt, your running medals start piling up, creating a mess. It’s piling up but you don’t want to throw away such proud and good memories or you just want to get rid of them but have no idea how. So what can you do? Instead of throwing it away, you can either make use of them or give it away!

Here are what you can do with your race medals.

Display them

This is a great way for those who love medals and the hard work that they represent, which it only makes sense to find a way to show it off in the house. You can either Do-It-Yourself (DIY), purchase a shelf, a holder to hang all of your precious medals or even hang them as a wind chime!

There are many ways on how you can display your medals and it really depends on how you wish to let the creativity in you to flow.

Donate your medals

If you are the kind of person who doesn’t really like to keep medals and wants to throw them away or if you are the kind of person that likes to share your achievement with people and wishes to inspire them, then displaying all of your medals in your house wouldn’t be an ideal choice.

Instead of throwing your hard work away, you can donate your medals to Medals4Mettle, which gives medals to children and adults fighting debilitating illnesses who might not be able to run a race but are in the race of their own just to continue to live their life.

Practicalise them

If you have medals that can be used as a practical tool, then that is amazing! You can channel your inner arts-and-crafts talents to turn your medals into something more useful. You can either transform your medals into a fridge magnet, bottle openers, or even a coaster. There are so many things that you can do with your medal!

Do you have any other ideas that you would like to put on the list? Feel free to tell us in the comment section below.
