The SPD Ability Walk 2017 is SPD’s second walk organised to raise funds to provide programmes and services that enable and empower people with disabilities to be independent and self-reliant. These include therapy, vocational skills training, assistive technology, early intervention, day care and employment, educational and social support.
The Walk provides an opportunity for everyone of different abilities to walk together and serves to promote inclusion and raise awareness of disabilities.
There will also be a carnival with food, games, activities and stage performances where participants can get to know more about disability issues.
