Taking its inspiration from the Japanese running culture, the ASICS World Ekiden returns for the 3rd year and challenges teams to complete a marathon distance over the course of six legs of varying distances from 5 – 10km.

Teams must pass their digital tasuki – the narrow band of fabric used traditionally in Ekidens – from one leg to the next, working together in the true spirit of Ekiden for the team to succeed.

How to sign up for the ASICS World Ekiden 2022

  1. REGISTER FOR FREE
Form your team of up to 6 runners and nominate a team captain to sign-up for free via the ASICS website and on the ASICS Runkeeper™ app.
  2. TRAIN & TRACK
Each teammate will run between 5K and 10K, together completing a combined marathon distance. Use the ASICS Runkeeper™ app to collaborate with your team on challenges and training plans.
  3. RUN THE RACE
Log your leg of the race in the ASICS Runkeeper™ app between 10-22 November. Work hard and run fast as you pass the virtual tasuki from one teammate to the next.

Race registration is until 22 November.
