Recovery is your key to better performance in training and on race day. This is why Compressport should be your trusted recovery go-to. All products from Compressport are made in Europe and have been tested and trialed in many of the toughest races thus upholding their product quality.

Becoming An Effective Athlete With Compressport Calf Sleeves

The R2s otherwise known as “Race and Recovery” calf sleeves come in fanciful colors ranging from Green, blue, orange, red, black and white. So you can purchase a pair of R2s that matches your favorite running attire!

First Impression

When I received my flashy pair of red R2s I was delighted at how the vibrant red complemented my running shoes! Prior to receiving my R2s, the friendly staff at Runner’s Gait assisted me in getting the circumference of my calves measured. This ensures a perfect fit and optimal compression effects to enhance better performance. Also, I like how I can roll both my R2s into a small pouch, making it a travel-ready accessory too!

New to compression products, one of my concerns was having my calve-sleeves ‘lose its elasticity’ or ‘tear’. However, fret not as Compressport is designed to be tear-proof and under wet conditions your R2s remain light-weight as its material will not retain water.

Personally I felt that the R2s was designed to suit the aesthetics expectations of fellow athletes, it can easily match any running attire in your wardrobe.

First Go!

I’ve been using the Compressport Race and Recovery Calf sleeves for runs lasting between 10km-28km per training session. The bands are comfortable and do not “bite” onto your skin, preventing irritation. The fabric used by Compressport is lightweight and breathable expelling heat fast. Because the fabric does not retain water, you need not worry about struggling to put them on or removing them while perspiring. Built with the anti-fatigue feature, I felt a significant effect as I tend to slow down in my pace when I hit up-slopes however after donning on the R2s I felt minimal lactic acid and stiffness while running.

After my sessions of long-runs I would slip into my R2s before I head to bed and its recovery effect has proven its function when I woke up the next day feeling less soreness in the muscles. It hugs on to your aching limbs, warming and enhancing blood flow to your tired calves as part of the recovery process and you feel revitalized with them on.

The R2s did not loose its elasticity or the compression length after multiple use and is still as durable and effective.

I am now a big fan of Compressport products and will wear these R2s for upcoming races. For the price, you are guaranteed effectiveness and quality.
