Since the SAFRA Singapore Bay Run & Army Half-Marathon (SBR & AHM) launched in 1992, this 23rd edition of the run remains a key race in many Singaporean runners’ calendars, especially National Service (NS) men taking part with their units or family members.

For the second year in a row, all Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Operationally Ready NSmen (ORNS) and those who have completed their ORNS training cycles
Known as one of the biggest running events in Singapore, the SAFRA Singapore Bay Run & Army Half Marathon 2013 didn’t disappoint this year. Over 46,000 registered runners turned up for the experience, drawing 18,000 active servicemen to run. Not to be outdone, 17,000 NSmen and 4000 of their immediate family members also came down for the run, which was a remarkable 74 percent increase in participation amongst NSMen!
An Enhanced Experience to Stengthen Bonds Among NS men and their Families at Safra Singapore Bay Run & Army Half Marathon 2013
Jointly organised by SAFRA and the Army for the 22nd year, the SSBR & AHM will be held on Sunday, 1 September, with a strong emphasis on strengthening the camaraderie and bonds shared between full-time national servicemen, NSmen and their families. The event theme, ‘Together We Run’, reflects the spirit of unity and cohesion that organisers hope to reinforce through the enhancements this year.
The Safra Singapore Bay Run & Army Half Marathon is back (SSBR & AHM) – bigger and definitely better! The most massive event of the Singapore running calendar drew 70,000 avid fans. The number of “bump ins” was incredible.
