We runners in Singapore have a love/hate relationship with our hot and humid climate. Sometimes, we just want to have a cool break in another country.

Whether you’re looking to squeeze in a recreational run while on holiday or planning to enter an overseas race, you’ll want to layer up to face the dropping temperatures. But cool, temperate climates are tricky—you start off shivering in the cold but you once you’ve warmed up on your run, your body heats up uncomfortably.

Avoid looking like a bulky teddy bear by slipping on this sleeveless cropped top under this sleek yet cosy hoodie, a must to counter chilly winds. Made with ultra-soft French terry fabric, these cropped hoodies also come in white and grey. Speaking of grey, the bright hot pink and neon lime colours of this sports bra will be sure to perk up your day, no matter how dreary the weather may be!

Skip the shorts and sport these crop running tights instead. The Dri-FIT® fabric wicks away sweat and help keep you dry and comfortable, making this a good option for running on cool, rainy days on local shores too.

For a run that makes you feel like you’re running on air, opt for the Nike Flyknit Lunar 3–the lightest and chicest running shoe of late! With a choice of four different colours, these shoes pair plush cushioning with an ultra-lightweight, incredibly strong Flyknit upper to help keep you comfortable—and keep you going—for miles.

As tempting as it is to dash off into the chilly day, don’t forget this spunky running cap and Nike Cruiser sunglasses to protect from glaring sun rays.
