The guy’s been almost synonymous with the term “trail running” as of late. Yes, it’s none other than Kilian Jornet. In a rare appearance, the Salomon ambassador was in town recently to grace the official opening of Singapore’s first Salomon Branded Store. RunSociety caught up with him after the event to find out more about his life as an athlete – past, present and future.

Kilian Kornet Interview
Killian Jornet's passion for trails was evident throughout

We suppose it really helped that he was such an affable gentleman without any form of snobbish “airs” star athletes usually emit. This is a video interview conducted by RunSociety’s Editor-in-Chief, Shaun Lin:

Years back, seeds were sown when Shaun undertook a marketing communications role at a Singapore-based sports distributorship. There, a couple of international sporting brands fell under his purview. He's made the decision to migrate to the receiving end since, placing himself right at the heart of true competition.
