Run Free 2017 transcends perceptions that races are always costly. Traditional entry fees cover a holistic package that includes souvenirs such as event tee and finisher medal. But what if you could opt out of these entitlements?

The no-frills concept implies that participants will not be charged any entry fees. Instead, they can choose to purchase a full package to enhance their race experience.

Run Free 2017 will be held on 7 May 2017, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Gardens by the Ba, Bay East Garden.

Race Details

Run Free 2017 offers two race distances – 5km and 10km. The event is family-friendly as there is no age requirement for participants.

Runners will flag off and finish at 21 Rhu Cross.

The 5km route offers participants a scenic run along the Marina Bay before making a turn towards the Marina Barrage and Satay by the Bay. Runners will then take the return route back to the finishing point.

The cut-off times for 5km and 10km runners are 2 hours and 3 hours respectively.

Customise Your Race Experience

As this is a no-frills concept, participants will not be receiving any entitlements by default. However, they can choose to enhance their race experience by purchasing the full race entitlement which consist of an event T-shirt, an event singlet, a race bib + timing chip, a finisher medal, bag deposit service on race day and a drawstring bag.
