Companies that took part last year included Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ), Barclays, Bell Pottinger, the ING Group, Macquarie Bank, Mastercard, UBS, and Standard Chartered.

First staged in London in 2007, Singapore marked the inaugural leg of the Square Mile Relay series' international expansion in 2013.

Corporate teams of 10 runners each will run a 1 mile (1.6km) course at The Promontory @ Marina Bay, competing for the glory of a winner's cheque to be donated to their charity of choice. Last year’s champion, Macquarie Bank, donated their prize money of S$10,000 to Hope House.
