What comes to your mind first when the word “Singha” is mentioned? Did we hear beer? Yes, it’s beer! But today we are not talking about how much Singha beer you can down in one go, we are talking about the 3rd edition of The Singha Obstacle Fun Run 2014 that will be happening on Sunday, 30 November, 2014 at Singha Park, Chiang Rai, Thailand.

Trial running has become increasing popular with many runners. Perhaps it’s the adventurous running in natural surroundings that attracts them. Trail running combines the beauty of outdoor scenery of hiking with the physical challenges of running and obstacles crossing. If you love the outdoors, nature and challenges, the Singha Obstacle Fun Run is definitely for you.

The event is part of the renowned Singha Farm Festival on the Hill, 26 – 30 November 2014, a 5 day festive extravaganza with concerts, sporting events and many more activities.

Expect a hot and humid day at the race but don’t worry you will have lots of Singha beers to compensate for that!

The course is a 7.5 km lap and includes 10 obstacles. There are 3 categories:

  • Solo: 7.5 km (1 lap – 10 obstacles)
  • Solo: 15 km (2 laps – 20 obstacles)
  • Teams: 30 km (4 laps – 40 obstacles)

The race is open to both men and women, with 6 age groups from 12 to 60 and above.

For the team race. Each team will consist of 5 runners. Each of the 4 laps must be completed by 2 runners from the team. It is totally up to the team to decide which 2 runners will complete each lap. (E.g. the same runner can run the four laps as long as 2 runners from the team are running together)

The fees are as follows:

    (Individual)

  • 650 Baht before 29 November for 7.5km
  • 800 Baht before 29 November for 15km
  • (Team)

  • 2950 Baht before 29 November for 30km (5 runners)
