Inspiring Story Behind Got To Walk

‘Got To Walk’ is a walkathon event that was first initiated in 2020 in a virtual format, with the noble aim of creating awareness for the importance of kidney health and raising funds to sustain KDF’s efforts to provide subsidized dialysis for the poor. The virtual beginning set the stage for what would become a beacon of hope, encouragement, and unity in the fight against kidney disease.

In this year’s edition of ‘Got To Walk’, themed “Illuminating Life”, participants from all walks of life are encouraged to come together to participate in the physical event on 14 October 2023 at OCBC Square, Singapore, and walk in support of needy kidney patients. This marks the inaugural physical edition of the event, reflecting our unwavering support and compassion for needy kidney patients in Singapore.

As participants walk through a vibrant sea of colors together, the collective aim is to brighten the lives of those facing challenges and illuminate the path for those in need. By walking for a good cause, a chain reaction of positivity is ignited, touching countless hearts, and making a lasting difference that shines brightly in the lives of those affected by kidney disease.

The ‘Got To Walk’ event is not just a race; it’s a gathering of hearts and spirits united for an extraordinary cause. Whether you’ve been part of this journey before or this is your first step, the event welcomes you to join in a celebration of life, empathy, and resilience, where every stride can be a beacon of hope. Join Got To Walk 2023, and take a step towards illuminating lives.

  • A Community of Compassion: Join 2,000 others as you walk together, understanding the struggles of those who spend hours on dialysis and showing them they’re not alone.
