Meet the lightest of the Nike Zoom training footwear family: Minimalistic, responsive and stable, the Nike Air Zoom Elite 8 is designed to keep you fast on your feet.
Fast and light, these brand new running shoes feature minimalistic cushioning designed for born-for-speed, fast-as-hell elite performers.
Nike designers considered all angles of the shoe’s speed and comfort in the development of the Air Zoom Elite 8. The Zoom Air in the forefoot offers responsive cushioning at the faster speeds of tempo runs, when runners are more likely to strike with the forefoot. Check out this cool video below to get a better picture of how this works.
A Soft, Smooth Transition
Underfoot, an ultra-thin outsole adds traction without bulking up weight, further allowing for streamlined propulsion. The Air Zoom Elite 8 shoe’s lateral crash rail flexes upon contact with the ground for a soft, smooth transition from landing to takeoff.
With the offset lowered by eight millimetres, these shoes put runners closer to the ground for a natural foot strike, and thus better control. To further facilitate a natural motion, deep flex grooves are added underfoot too.
The upper lightweight mesh delivers breathability without adding weight and supportive Nike Flywire technology wraps the foot for a snug yet adaptive fit. Asymmetrical lacing helps lock down the midfoot, while no-sew overlays adds support and offers a sleek, virtually seamless fit.
Made for Speed
The Air Zoom Elite 8 is part of a collection of Zoom Air running shoes that also includes the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 32, Nike Air Zoom Structure 19, Nike Air Zoom Odyssey and Nike Air Zoom Vomero 10. With Zoom Air, the result is a fast, responsive ride whether the runner is out for a regular morning run or aiming for a new race PB.
