More than 100 participants of the Great Eastern Women’s Run (GEWR) 2016 worked up a sweat with athletic urban dance fitness workouts during the Live Great Mega Dance Fiesta on Saturday morning (24 September 2016) at Capitol Piazza.

Led by trainers from True Fitness, the Live Great Mega Dance Fiesta featured popular fitness dance workouts such as K-Pop and U-Jam. Energetic participants of young and old were grooving to the beats with a combination of dance, high interval intensity training and high energy music.

Don a Tutu for a Good Cause

The outdoor atrium of Capitol Piazza was lit up with a sea of colours as the ladies were donning colourful tutu skirts while engaging in the dance fitness workouts.

Tutu skirts are a symbolic representation of the GEWR with the “Don a Tutu for a Cause” initiative. For a minimum donation of SG$5 to the event's beneficiaries - the Breast Cancer Foundation and the Women's Health Research and Education Fund, runners will receive a tutu in the beneficiaries' colours and are encouraged to don them on race day.
