The New Balance Run On regional series is making its first stop in Singapore on Saturday, 24 October 2015.

Set at Gardens by the Bay East, the 5 km race will challenge the speed limits for the fast and experienced runners, while kick-starting new challenges for novice runners.

Before the starting pistol fires at 5:00 p.m. on race day, here’s why you should sign up for the NB Run On now:

Why NB Run On?

Pit yourself against runners in your age group and stand to win as one of the top three males and top three females in that category. Or gather your mates and strive to come out as the top male, female, or mixed teams in the Trackster School Challenge, Vazee Open Challenge, or NBx Club Challenge.

On Race Day, there will be two finishing lines – finish at the 5 km mark, or run an extra kilometre and you’ll earn a limited edition NB Run On Iron-On Achievement Badge! Fight the urge to groove along and get hyped up – you can’t – as A/K/A ATTAGIRL! spins tunes at the race’s start and finish.

Celebrate after the run at the NB Pop-Up Festival where you’ll enjoy the massive post-event picnic with great food, craft beer and live performances by local acts. The quintessential Charlie Lim and fuzz pop quintet Obedient Wives Club will be crooning and belting out earworm melodies for your listening pleasure as the sun sets at the bay.

What’s in it for you?

You’ll get a customised race bib, an official race tee and a finisher medal. All these perks come neatly bundled in a NB canvas tote bag designed by local design collective Tell Your Children (TYC). On top of that, enjoy an exclusive 30% off NB Performance gear at NB Experience stores.

Before the race starts, every participant is invited to the NB Pre-party! You can even train for the race together with the training runs available (limited to 50 participants per session).

What else? Fuel up with the isotonic drinks and water during the race, and chill out at the post-event at the race village where food stalls aplenty, games, activities and performances await.
