Oakley and Ferrari unveiled their collaborative 8 piece eyewear line in Singapore, featuring the highly anticipated Scuderia Ferrari Carbon Blade.

Inspired by the namesake racing team, these special editions are the first products created to celebrate the alliance between these 2 leaders of innovation. The exciting collection was launched at the new Ferrari store at The Shoppes, Marina Bay Sands. The intimate and immersive event was hosted by Oakley ambassador and Fly Entertainment artiste, Allan Wu, as he introduced the Scuderia Ferrari collection.

Local Sports Ambassadors Showcase Designs

Led by Allan Wu who presented the Scuderia Ferrari Carbon Blade design, 3 more local Oakley ambassadors also took the stage to showcase other designs from the collection. Actor Randall Tan presented the Tin Can model while Mok Ying Ren, gold medallist in the marathon event at the SEA Games, and national Downhill-Mountain Biker, Tan Hong Chun presented the Chainlink Asian fit™ and TwoFace Asian fit™ designs respectively.

Oakley Singapore’s Sports Marketing Manager, Ms Joey Ng, was also present to demonstrate Oakley’s unsurpassed clarity and protection, reinforcing its position as offering the best sun lenses in the world.

“We are very excited today for our Oakley ambassadors to be here to officially launch the Oakley Scuderia Ferrari collection in Asia. This launch comes just in time as we are just a few months away from the Singapore Grand Prix and local fans can now own a piece of Ferrari combined with Oakley technology from this collection,”

said Mr Jacob Bojsen, Singapore General Manager, Luxottica (parent company of Oakley worldwide).

Being Disruptive by Design

The limited edition Carbon Blade is the halo of the 8 piece Scuderia Ferrari collection. Each model carries colour highlights in Scuderia Ferrari red and is laser-etched with the Scuderia Ferrari emblem in the corner of the lens.

2 of the pieces (Twoface and Chainlink) in the Scuderia Ferrari collection are also presented in the Global fit and the Asian fit options for wearers to find the perfect fit. Custom packaging and a custom case make each edition a collectible.

The creative direction behind each carefully designed and crafted eyewear pieces reflects and embodies Oakley’s slogan of Disruptive by Design.

“The biggest inspiration behind the Scuderia Ferrari Carbon Blade™ can be seen in the materials used to create it, and we wanted to reflect that passion for excellence and cutting edge innovation in the Carbon Blade. Carbon fibre has been used before in eyewear, but never in this way. Rather than shaping pieces from flat rigid plates, we moulded the carbon layers into a flexible frame structure, creating a highly engineered solution.”

The 8 piece Oakley Scuderia Ferrari collection is now available in Singapore at Oakley Authorised Dealer Stores island-wide. The price of the collection starts from S$319.00.
