Pink Wig-A-Thon: Heading Cancer Survivors Towards A Better Life
Celebrate being in the pink of health in this first of its kind event in Malaysia! To up the ante, everyone has to wear a pink wig, hat, toupee or cap!
On Sunday morning, 27 September 2015, join other pink-clad participants in a 10 km Run or 5 km Fun Walk. Held at Stadium Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the event will kick off bright and early at 6:00 a.m. and flag off will be at 7:00 and 7:20 a.m.
What's more, you’ll be tickled pink with the awesome carnival activities and concert with celebrity performances!
The pink-haired heads behind this inaugural fundraising event is none other than Pink Ribbon Wellness (L) Foundation. Albeit a young NGO, they’ve gone far in living out their vision to fight breast cancer by empowering all women with the right know-how. Besides having conducted lots of breast cancer awareness and breast health education workshops, they’ve also delivered free or subsidised breast prosthesis. Supporting breast cancer patients and/or survivors Towards A Better Life, the group provides good health nutrition and weight management guidance, Zumba, networking support, positive and feel good treatments and so on.
Sign Up for Pink!
Show your support for breast cancer awareness and the Pink Ribbon Wellness (L) Foundation to carry its work further by joining this year’s Pink Wig-A-Thon for RM 80 each, or RM 65 for cancer survivors.
Each entry entitles you to a free goodie bag, wig or cap, wristband and t-shirt.
