Pristine beaches. Soaring cliffs. Breath-taking ocean sunsets. But there’s more to Australia’s best kept secret than the unspoiled picturesque landscapes.

Locals call it ‘Ki’. Located 14km off South Australia’s, Kangaroo Island is just two hours from the beautiful city of Adelaide. With abundant native flora and fauna thriving here, it is little wonder that Ki is surrounded by five marine sanctuaries and has one third of the land designated as national parks. The third largest island in Australia is also home to organic award-winning food and wine, and a spirited community of artists and farmers.

The Kangaroo Island Marathon

Now you have a chance to immerse yourselves in this exquisite island! Pre-race, you can join a premium tour package that takes you on an intimate journey to every corner of the island. You’ll celebrate, taste, explore and go on adventures with their comprehensive itinerary.

But all runners will tell you that the best way to experience a place is to run in it. So have the privilege of taking part in their inaugural half-marathon or marathon on Sunday, 6 September 2015!

Set in the remote southwest corner of Flinders Chase National Park, the course route will comprise of deviating undulating roads and trails that cut through dense forest. Take in views of the mighty Southern Ocean as you run past an exposed coastal section. Be inspired as you travel by historic landmarks such as Cape de Couedic Lighthouse and Admirals Arch, and a zig-zag boardwalk leading to the iconic Remarkable Rocks.
