Obstacle-course and adrenaline junkies in Asia, rejoice! The world’s hottest endurance series, Tough Mudder, will debut in Asia on 1st and 2nd October 2016 in Bali, Indonesia.

With 2.5 million participants in more than 200 events across United States, Germany, Australia, Mexico, Canada and the United Kingdom, Tough Mudder is one of the most globally recognised endurance races. And no wonder it’s so popular—whether you’re an elite athlete, fitness enthusiast, adrenaline junkie, or simply want to experience epic memories with friends, this unique event series is for you!

Founded in the US in 2010, Tough Mudder is a 16 – 20 km obstacle course run designed by British Special Forces to test physical strength, stamina and mental grit.

There are no winners or clocks to race against because it’s not about how fast you can cross the finish line. Rather, it’s a challenge that emphasises teamwork, camaraderie and accomplishing something you have never done before.

With a growing demand for health and fitness events in the tropics, vibrant and culture rich Bali makes it an ideal addition to the global event series. In partnership with the international event are Jarkata-based advisory practice Seroja Partners. Race planning and management company Mesa Race, who will build the obstacles in the Tough Mudder arena, is also roped in.

Indonesia is a strategic intersection between Asia and Australia. As a popular tourist destination, we are confident an inaugural event in Bali will attract both local and international participants and spectators.

The number of sports enthusiasts in Indonesia has grown vastly and we see this as an opportunity to introduce Tough Mudder to the market. We are incredibly excited to bring the premier adventure challenge series in the world to Indonesia for the first time.
