Starting this month, sports lovers including avid spectators, leisure athletes, and serious competitors will have a bunch of reasons to get into a new routine as Sentosa will be presenting a never-before line-up of beach sports from April to June.

Featuring an unusual list of some 20 local and international events, the host of unique sporting activities will only be available in The State of Fun. The workouts include:

National Steps Challenge™ Season 3 – Thematic Challenge

Check out Beach Bash with Timberland Challenge on the 28th of April, held in collaboration with the Health Promotion Board. There will be a task to complete the scavenger quest and also stand a chance to win exciting prizes which include Timberland merchandise, Sentosa FUN passes, a staycation package and more. Get your hands on one of the 3,000 giant inflatable slippers that will be given out in Palawan Beach and also be a part of a record-breaking event!

Enjoy the Joy of Running and Themed Fun

In The State of Fun, there will not be dreary and monotonous runs. With a line-up of themed running events bringing participants across the resort island’s beaches and scenic landscapes, you might actually forget that you are having a workout!

1. The Music Run by AIA

The Music Run by AIA features audio speakers along the running route to spark up one’s running beat and an epic party at Palawan Green.

Date: 21 April 2018
Venue: Palawan Green, Sentosa
Time: 4 p.m. – 9 p.m.

2. Cold Storage Kids Run

Kids who love their sports can make their way for the Cold Storage Kids Run 2018! Singapore’s first kids-centric run doesn’t just provide opportunities for young athletes to expose themselves to competition, it also serves as a stepping stone for first-time runners to prepare themselves for bigger events.

Date: 20 May 2018
Venue: Palawan Beach, Sentosa
Time: 8 a.m. – 11 a.m.

3. POCARI SWEAT – GO SWEAT at SWEATOSA

The POCARI SWEAT – GO SWEAT at SWEATOSA is an event where you collect special-edition Pocari Sweat bottle caps across Singapore or Sentosa and exchange them for sweat filled activities.

Date: 30 May 2018
Venue: Emerald Pavilion, Siloso Beach
Time: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

4. Garfield Carnival

The first ever Garfield Carnival Singapore is here to celebrate Garfield’s 40th Birthday Bash! Garfield will celebrate his 40th birthday this coming June with a weekend of carnival and a fun run. All of you are invited to join Garfield for an awesome birthday celebration. Be treated to a line-up of entertainment, attractions, and carnival game kiosks where you stand to win exclusive Garfield 40th Birthday Bash prizes as well as life-size Garfield photo booths.

Date: 8-10 June 2018
Venue: Palawan Beach Sentosa Island
Time: 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Balls Can Be Fun

Playing sports is most fun with your loved ones. Beach volleyball nets are available across the island’s beaches and wide pockets of sandy spaces, there are plenty of opportunities for all kinds of ball sports in The State of Fun.

If you are new to beach sports and is in search of some inspiration, you can head down to Siloso Beach from 21 to 24 June and catch FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Singapore 2018 that has the world’s best beach volleyballers. Aside from the games, spectators can look forward to clinics, music festivals, and dance parties!

Unique Workouts For You to Enjoy

Check out Flow Jam on 5th of May for a more adrenaline pumping sport, a Wave House Sentosa’s flagship flow boarding competition that features high performance surf shredding action. Following up on the event, Wave House Sentosa will be holding a series of lessons for all training participants on different tricks and moves progressively each week.

Those who enjoy motocross can look forward to the Singapore MX Beach Race 2018, a motocross race on the beach from 5 to 6 May at Siloso Beach. The Siloso Beach will serve as a unique track for racers to battle it out and be crowned the national motocross champion.

A Place to Hangout and Chill

Tanjong Beach Club’s Smack My Beach Up on 29 April will be featuring a coastal feast with free-flow of rose wine. There is also a special treat to calm your soul with a complimentary Lululemon yoga session by the beach.

Connect with your inner self on International Yoga Day on 23 June at District 1’s Yoga Fiesta SG 2018. The first stop of its Southeast Asian tour, the event at Palawan Green promises an unprecedented experience of yoga fusions, with celebrity guest instructors, trainers, and booths by the most well known yoga brands.

Want to enjoy a different way of enjoying the sunset or if you are into movies, then head down to Tanjong Beach for the Peroni Sunset Cinema from 2 to 13 May. Featuring award-winning new films, DJs, coastal cuisine and sunset drinks, no wonder their first edition was sold out last year!
