Will The Apple Watch Nike+ Be Your Perfect Running Partner?
From leading-edge comfort to the way it connects you to your running buddies through the Nike+ Run Club, Apple Watch Nike+ is said to be your perfect running partner on your wrist.
Apple Watch Nike+ is the latest product of the long-standing partnership between two of the world’s most innovative brands - tech giant, Apple and leading sport label, Nike.
Touted to be the ultimate tool for anyone who runs, the water resistant Apple Watch Nike+ is a combination of exclusive Nike Sport Bands with the Apple Watch Series 2, which features a built-in GPS, the brightest display Apple has ever made, a powerful dual-core processor and watchOS 3.
Apple Watch Nike+ also includes exclusive Siri commands and iconic Nike watch faces along with the new Nike+ Run Club app for unrivaled motivation to go for a run, coaching plans that adapt to your unique schedule and progress, and guidance from the world’s best coaches and athletes.
Apple’s chief operating officer, Jeff Williams, said,
“Apple Watch is the ultimate device for a healthy life and we wanted to push it further to create the best smartwatch in the world for runners and athletes.”
Similar to all Apple Watch Series 2 models, the Apple Watch Nike+ has a built-in GPS to track your pace, distance and route, even if you do not have your iPhone with you.
With a two-times-brighter display, also the brightest display Apple has ever made, metrics will be easy to read no matter how much the sun glares. The Apple Watch Nike+ is also rated water resistant to 50 metres so you can even take a post-run dip in the pool or swim with it.
The Nike Sport band is crafted from the same strong and flexible fluoroelastomer as the original Apple Watch Sport Band, but is now perforated for even better ventilation and sweat management via rows of compression‑molded perforations. The lightweight band is available in four vibrant two-tone color combinations that are unique to the collection. Nike Sport Bands are available exclusively with Apple Watch Nike+ models and are not sold separately.
Apple Watch Nike+ will also feature two exclusive watch faces that are inspired by Nike’s iconic Volt colour. Time can be boldly displayed in both digital and analog styles, and can be easily personalized with useful apps such as Activity Rings, Heart Rate, Stopwatch and Weather.
Nike+ Run Club
Apple Watch Nike+ takes advantage of the unique capabilities of Apple Watch Series 2 and the Nike+ Run Club app to be the perfect running partner on your wrist.
The app experience is seamlessly built into Apple Watch Nike+ and training data, including pace, distance and heart rate, can be easily accessed right from the watch face. Users can get a clear view of their most important data and are ready to go with a quick tap.
Apple Watch Nike+ will always give you a reason to run. The Nike+ Run Club app offers daily motivation through smart run reminders and alerts informing when the weather is right to get outside.
Through shared run summaries, the app also promotes friendly competition by allowing you to connect with friends. You can share your latest run, join your friends on the leader boards, and even send them virtual fist bumps right from the wrist.
President of Nike, Trevor Edwards, said,
“We know runners and we know many are looking for a device that gives them an easy, fun way to start running. The market is full of complex, hard-to-read devices that focus on your data. This focuses on your life. It’s a powerful device with a simple solution - your perfect running partner.”
