The PUMA Night Run Singapore 2015 saw more than 3000 runners taking on the new 10 km route along the scenic Marina Barrage.

Joining the runners for an eventful night were celebrities Elvin Ng, Xu Bin, Aloysius Pang, Kimberly Chia, Shane Pow, Carrie Wong, Dawn Yeoh, Kaylee Loh, Nick Teo, Hayley Woo, Derrick Lee and Zong Zijie. 987 celebrity DJ duo, Sonia Chew and Joakim Gomez, were also onstage to rev up the crowd and keep energy levels up.

True Fitness trainers led all in a mass warm-up before the night run was flagged off at about 7:30 p.m. by Philippe Le-Bretton, General Manager of PUMA Southeast Asia.

Encircling the Kallang River, the race route took participants pass iconic landmarks such as the Helix Bridge, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore Flyer, Singapore Sports Hub and Gardens By The Bay.

Defending his title, Thomas Kiprotich topped the Men’s Open category with an impressive time of 33 min 57 s. Kennedy Kyule Matolo came in just seconds behind at 34 min 12 s, followed by Suresh Tilija in third place at 36 min 30 s.

Over in Women’s Open category, Cheryl Chan claimed the first place with a winning time of 44 min. Anna Helowicz Hebrich came in second at 44 min 49 s, and Marsh Rebek Ah Karen Patrica came in third at 46 min 16 s.

Thomas Kiprotich and Cheryl Chan were both awarded the grand prize of S$2,000 PUMA vouchers, a one-year True Fitness membership, and a Seiko timepiece of choice.

The fun continued on with various activities at the PUMA race village including
face-painting, picture taking at the photo-booth, and digging into food and drinks by Dosirak and Hic Juice.

Dynamic trio Tosh Rock, Joshua Tan and Bunz of Ah Boyz To Men fame entertained runners and supporters with crowd favourite hits from their album.

10 thrilled participants took home attractive lucky draw prizes including Seiko timepieces, Klipsch earphones, True Fitness memberships, and the grand prize of a pair of return tickets on Turkish Airlines to anywhere in Europe.

Running is one of the key focus for PUMA and we’re thrilled to bring the second PUMA Night Run Singapore to the heart of the city. It was wonderful to see participants take on the challenge while enjoying themselves in the process.
