Can Sportswear be beautiful? Fit Rebel says Yes!

Being a huge fan of wearing leggings when working out, I have tried out many different types, be it the usual cotton ones, Compression tights; you name it, I have probably worn it before. Therefore I quickly jumped at the chance to try out Fit Rebel’s SENI Leggings collection.

I have never heard of the brand before but I was definitely mind blown by the designs when I first saw them online. The designs are all so vibrant and colorful, unlike the usual plain or dark toned tights I wear, which left me pretty much in a dilemma on which one to pick as they all look so beautiful!

In the end, I decided to settle on the SENI Sakura-Panda Regular Rise Leggings. As someone with a soft spot for all cute things, this particular design immediately caught my eye out of all the other floral designs and I was instantly attracted to the two irresistibly cute baby pandas *squeal!* on the legs.

A Work of Art

The leggings come in a bright powder pink colour and feature two baby pandas playing under the Sakura tree, which are meticulously hand-drawn and painted by Malaysian artists with more than 35 years of experience, using the traditional batik painting method.

I admit I had my doubts when I first got leggings due to its colour. I had previously only worn darker coloured tights since I was always worried that my backside would look “weird” when the material stretches while I am doing pilates, and this one was especially worrisome since it came with a white undertone and my darker undergarments might show through when I stretch.

And let’s be honest, black undergarments do show through a little when you are doing more awkward movements like squats so you do have to be more careful with what you wear underneath it.

Supporting the Active Ladies

The SENI leggings are made from Fit Rebel’s special Spandex Fabric blend consisting of 87% Polyester and 13% Spandex material, giving it a really soft and silky feel. It is also breathable, lightweight, and most surprisingly cool to touch!

The structure of the leggings, especially the waistband really flatters my waistline and there’s even a little pocket to stuff my keys or some small change in!

It is also compressive enough to give my legs that nice, toned look yet stretchable enough to allow me to move in whatever directions and positions I want. In addition, the Flatlock seams also help to protect against chafing which is really a plus for me as I do not have a significant thigh gap and often falls victim to chafing during the hotter seasons in Singapore.

Suitable for Multiple Activities

Fit Rebel’s leggings have been stress-tested by the Yogi, Martial artists, Dancers, Cross -fitters, and Runners alike. Therefore you can be sure that they are suitable for wear no matter which activity you are doing. In fact, with its unique design, I feel that it can be a good choice for an outdoor picnic or coffee date! People may not even realise that it is actually a sports leggings!

Runner’s Boon

  • Price is relatively affordable for a handcrafted piece.
  • Breathable and lightweight
  • Excellent stretchability
  • Quick dry and colour does not bleed

Runner’s Bane

  • The material may not be opaque enough in certain areas
  • I personally feel that it might be a little pricey compared with other brands

Fit Rebel’s SENI Sakura-Panda is currently retailing at SGD$67.69
