Often touted as the toughest local trail race, the Singapore leg of this global ultra-marathon series saw about 3,000 daring participants conquer tough, hilly terrains and challenging cut-off times. In its 8th year running, The North Face 100 Singapore comprised of 50 km (Solo and Duo), 25 km and 13 km race categories. Making up 37% of the participants are trail runners from around the world, including Malaysia, Japan, France, and the UK, just to name a few.
It’s often lauded for being the toughest local foot race, and it’s back for its 8th edition on Saturday, 10 October 2015. The Singapore leg of the North Face 100 Asia Pacific ultra-marathon series will flag off from MacRitchie Reservoir and take participants on a new route through the island’s nature trails.

Part of the North Face 100 Asian series, the North Face 100 (TNF100) Singapore is a popular event offering a variety of moderate (13km and 25km) to challenging (50km and 100km) distances, and a spectacular course that promises to take you away from the hustle and bustle of daily Singapore life.
The 7th edition of The North Face 100 Singapore will take place on the 10th – 11th October 2014. Often touted as the toughest foot race locally, the Singapore leg of this Asia Pacific ultra-marathon series will see participants through tough, hilly terrains, and challenging cut-off times.
Remarkably the one of the most famous trail races, this year’s North Face 100 Singapore Race attracted numerous serious runners. They were more than ready to take on the challenge of conquering undulating terrains and mind stretching race courses.
Kami Semick, like many of us, found her passion and herself in university. Unlike the majority, she sought it out, honed her skill, steeled her mettle and blazed through trails with a steady beat and absolute focus on her goal. Over the past decade or so, her dedication to the sport garnered her the world trophy 50k and multiple road and trail championships ranging from 50km to 50miles (roughly 80.5km). Here is a peek into the mind of a champion.
To complete The North Face 100(TNF100) on a solo run within the stipulated cut-off time is already a complimentary feat in itself. To come up tops would simply be unfathomable by most.
The RunSociety Team was down in full force to lend its support sometime past the stroke of midnight to see off the 100km Soloists – the tough lot who chose to brave the dark of night.
