Let’s face it, I’m not an elite runner yet! But like any determined athlete, I’m always striving to be the best version of myself.

I believe that the formula to be a better runner involves effective training plan, consistent practice, the right nutrition and proper running gears.

Shoe is undoubtedly an essential gear in running. Choosing the right shoe is an important decision every runner must make every now and then.

In my quest to be a better runner, I’m always looking for the next best running shoes. I wonder if Under Armour’s new super shoe will help me to be a better runner.

Unleashing Your Best Potential with UA Flow Velociti Elite

I went on several runs with UA Flow Velociti Elite, and here are my thoughts.

I’ll admit, I was taken aback when I took my first step in the UA Flow Velociti Elite. Because I tend to put all my weight on my heels when standing, I felt the sensation as if I was falling backwards! The sole is so soft and bouncy, it took me a few minutes to get used to it.

Stay cool and comfortable on your runs with the breathable WARP 2.0 upper.

See, the sole of the shoe is really unique. There is literally no rubber on the outsole, instead, the sole is made of thick Flow midsole foam with a full-length carbon fibre plate sandwiched into it.

The carbon-plated sole is designed to give springy lift-offs and I feel that the sole indeed delivers what it promises.

At first glance, I had suspicion that the foam sole might not do well on wet surfaces. After a couple of runs on wet tarmacs, I can safely say that the traction is superb.

The feature that I love the most from UA Flow Velociti Elite is the shoe’s see-through upper. With WARP 2.0 technology, the upper features breathable mesh that’s reinforced with horizontal and vertical tapes that act like skeleton.

Without the traditional all-enclosing upper, I did not feel significant heat build-up around my feet during my runs. It is especially useful when running during the hot season or in countries with hot climate and high humidity like Singapore.

No rubber, no problem. The Flow midsole foam provides excellent traction on wet surfaces.

Under Armour’s team definitely brings the words lightweight and breathability to a whole new level.

The thinly padded tongue is soft, flexible and doesn’t restrict my movement. But the tongue gets dirty easily after a few runs.

I’m wearing my usual size and I found that the toe box is quite spacious, even for my wide feet. The heel counter is sturdy enough to provide protection against impact, but flexible enough to provide comfort.

I brought the shoes overseas to a city with temperature hovering between 11°C to 16°C as I wanted to get some mileage done while on vacation. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a wise move.

My feet were cold from being exposed to the cold air. But this could probably be just me, though. Other people might love the cold air breeze on their feet while running a marathon in cold weather.

Experience the bouncy and lightweight feel of the carbon-plated sole.

Running is not just a sport, it’s a journey, and the UA Flow Velociti Elite is the perfect companion to help you reach your destination faster and with more comfort than ever before.

Runner’s Boon

  • UA Flow Velociti Elite is extremely lightweight. It is perfect for speedwork and race day.
  • The shoe’s upper has amazing breathability. It’s great for running in hot weather.
  • The combination of Flow technology and carbon fibre plate allows the shoe to be rubber-less, lightweight and to deliver greater bounce.
  • Great cushioning.

Runner’s Bane

  • I wouldn’t use it for cold weather races.
  • The tongue and collar lining get dirty easily.
  • Because of the almost-transparent upper, your feet may get wet easily when running on wet surfaces, or when you accidentally step on puddles.

The Future of Running

The best running shoe may not make you the fastest runner in the world, but it will most definitely uncover your best potential.

Unleash your inner speed demon with UA Flow Velociti Elite.

If you’re training for a long-distance race and you are aiming for a Personal Best in your next race, invest in a proper shoe that you feel comfortable wearing, doesn’t hold you down from your ambitions, and propels you unapologetically to greater heights.

For me, UA Flow Velociti Elite fits the bill perfectly. The UA Flow Velociti Elite is now available online and in Under Armour Brand Houses at S$299.00.

The UA Flow Velociti Elite is a lightweight and high-performance running shoe from Under Armour that is designed to help runners achieve their best potential. What makes the UA Flow Velociti Elite unique?

One of the most unique features of the UA Flow Velociti Elite is its rubber-less outsole, which is made entirely of the thick Flow midsole foam with a full-length carbon fibre plate embedded within it. This design delivers a highly responsive and bouncy ride, while also making the shoe incredibly lightweight. Additionally, the shoe’s see-through upper with WARP 2.0 technology provides exceptional breathability and a comfortable fit.

The UA Flow Velociti Elite is suitable for runners who are looking for a high-performance and lightweight shoe that can help them achieve their best potential.
