Which Gender Should Worry More About Joint Protection, Men or Women?

According to the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, “Women have more knee ligament injuries than men due to geometry, not gender.” Geometry? You read that right; it’s a matter of bone length over gender and plenty of research studies prove that the length and shape of women’s knee bones are the genetic culprits.

In fact, women suffering leg-related ligament injuries can compound them by using improper running techniques, wearing the wrong shoes or simply by changing direction too swiftly during extended training sessions. That’s all it takes to trigger joint issues that, if left unattended, can short circuit any woman’s running career.

Sadly, women also suffer ACL injury rates “two-to-five times greater than that of men,” says Dr. Audrey K. Chun of the Mt. Sinai Health System. “A single incident is enough to trigger re-injury and a lifetime of discomfort.” To add insult to injury, says Chun, “women account for nearly 60% of arthritis sufferers.”

Does this mean men get a pass on joint health issues? Hardly. But biology is destiny and since God won’t re-engineer women’s skeletal and ligament systems anytime soon, they must take extra precautions to care for their joints and bones. That’s why women can add Kordel’s BiovaFlex®Egg Membrane, a 100-percent natural product, to their diets.

In addition to the powerful egg membrane that’s packed with bioactive ingredients to improve joint functions, Kordel’s BiovaFlex® Egg Membrane is infused with a natural plant extract called Boswellin®. Extracted from Frankincense plant (Boswellia serrata), this aromatic gum resin contains Boswellic acid that has been used for centuries in Asian medicine to treat inflammatory illnesses.

Women are proactive; they take actions in advance, long before any signs of health deterioration kick in. Kordel’s BiovaFlex® Egg Membrane is the perfect multivitamin for women even if their feet feel great right now, because who can guarantee that after those years of walking in high heels and constant pavement pounding during running, they won’t develop joint inflammation in the future? After all, prevention is better than cure.

Taken alone or with other Kordel’s products, women of all ages can stay in top running shape throughout their lives.

A growing library of joint care products from Kordel’s

Women are smart and cautious about what they add to their diets—after all, multitasking is their specialty so one can’t have too many weapons in a health arsenal. That’s why Kordel’s offers many options for women who need all of the help they can get when joint pain and inflammation stop them from functioning at the level they require.

In addition to the brand’s standard-bearer, Kordel’s BiovaFlex® Egg Membrane, women can try the following complementary supplements in search of joint relief Nirvana. That stated, all of the products profiled here are 100-percent natural, but these shellfish-based products are not recommended if you’re pregnant without your doctor’s okay. Otherwise, you couldn’t find a better selection of joint-health supplements than the following:

Kordel’s Joint Food: This power-packed joint food offers nutritional support for women whose poor diets or aging bodies aren’t renewing cartilage as fast as possible. Vitamins and minerals plus glucosamine and chondroitin promote the formation of cartilage and collagen. This is one food that won’t pack on pounds, either!

Pair your daily Kordel’s BiovaFlex® Egg Membrane with Kordel’s Glucosamine 1500 + Curcumin, another power-packed formulation that eases joint pain and promotes mobility, all the while boosting your antioxidant intake. What’s the secret ingredient? It may already be in your kitchen: turmeric, the spice that puts the zing in your Tandoori chicken recipe. Essential minerals promote cell function plus collagen and cartilage health.

Kordel’s Glucosamine 300 + Chondroitin + MSM. Lubrication of your joints isn’t to be taken lightly—-especially if you’re a woman who has suffered joint pain, mobility and flexibility issues in the past. To make sure you keep up with your kids, running pals and marathon schedule, this supplement fortifies the connective tissue that cushions joints and also fortifies bone to enhance mobility. Your body will thank you!

Kordel’s Glucosamine 750 + Chondroitin may double the efficacy of this safe, natural formulation if you’ve already tried the aforementioned formulation with MSM and need a larger dose of glucosamine to counter joint damage. Women couldn’t find a more powerful mix of minerals that work in concert with chondroitin and glucosamine to restore joint health. It’s even safe to take if you restrict your sodium intake. Try this formula so you can stop saying “No” to that extra run, marathon or club event.

Kordel’s Arthrocare Cream. Once you’ve done everything you can to fortify your joints from within, rub this cream into your legs so Vitamins A, C and E can work a little magic from the outside in. Lots of women swear by a regimen of Kordel’s BiovaFlex® Egg Membrane and Arthrocare Cream to cover all bases and because the cream is formulated with willow bark, aloe vera and other botanicals, it’s a fragrant and soothing cream. Why put up with medicinal-smelling creams when you can smell like a girl?

Is it fair that women suffer joint and cartilage conditions more than do men? Of course not—but plenty of women believe that if men had as much on their plates as women do, the sale of canes in Singapore might explode! We do it all. Why not have it all with products formulated with women in mind from Kordel’s?

According to a HealthDay research study, “girls are clearly winning in the battle for survival,” said the study’s lead author Claire Roberts. Given this fact, do you believe it’s more or less important to focus on gender-specific solutions for the health issues runners experience most often?
