6 Reasons to Join First Ever Challenge Vietnam
Having organised 40 long-distance triathlons in 17 countries, the Challenge Family is back with another unforgettable race experience! Happening on Sunday, 11 September 2016, the inaugural Challenge Vietnam will take place in the bustling coastal city, Nha Trang, in south Vietnam.
Here are 6 reasons to join:
#1 Soak In the Sea, Land & Sun
Feel the sand between your toes as you ready yourself for a 1.9 km swim in the clear tropical waters, off Nha Trang City's beautiful coast. Plunge in and feel your pre-race jitters wash away, knowing that you'll be in a safe area with the most predictable sea conditions.
Then dry off as you whizz by resorts, the local boat harbour and coastline cliffs on bikes for 90 km. One of the best bike routes in Asia, it has winding clean roads and slight elevation, perfect for gaining speed.
After that, powering through a 21 km run seems like a breeze when you're racing along a stunning coastline lined with shady trees and spectators cheering you on to the finishing line.
#2 Team Up With Old or New Buddies
Not quite ready to take on a whole triathlon challenge on your own? Fret not, a great way to get started in the world of triathlons is to sign up with your buddies in a relay team!
Don't let the problem of finding the perfect relay partners hold you back either. Let organisers Pulse Active do the searching for you! When matching athletes, they'll consider different aspects like race leg time, current location, whether it's their first triathlon, and so on. Besides, it's an awesome way to meet new people!
#3 Relish in a High Energy City
You begin to feel the buzz of Nha Trang City as friendly locals welcome you. Then you wander around the extensive, crescent-shaped beach resort curving in on a turquoise bay, and you understand why.
Immerse yourself in the charming Vietnamese culture and take in its many picturesque sights as you race in the heart of the city. Amidst the natural scenery, check out the town's breathtaking architecture dating back to the ancient Champa Kingdom.
#4 Kick Back in a Race-cation Everyone Will Enjoy
Why should triathlon athletes get all the fun? Besides coming to support you as spectators, your friends and family can also enjoy a plethora of watersports and activities in the 'beach capital of Vietnam'. Go snorkelling or scuba-diving and witness thriving coral reefs up close or explore an archipelago of 19 pristine islands just a short boat ride away.
If that's not your cup of tea, lush mountain ranges at each end of Nha Trang's 6 km coastline offer hiking trails to cascading waterfalls. Let's not forget relaxing in natural hot springs or mud baths, exploring salt fields, spending a fun-filled day at Vinpearl Theme Park, and loads of other activities you can try!
#5 Memorable Post-Race Party
Feast on mouth-watering food and celebrate with new found friends from across the globe in this international event. After being thrown such an awesome after party, you'd wish the entire race experience did not come to an end!
#6 Enjoy Early Bird Prices!
Open till 30 April 2016, sign up for early bird registration at $265 for individuals or $321 for relay teams.
Normal ticket pricing is from 1 May to 7 August 2016 and cost $285 for individuals and $351 for relay teams.
