The Color Run Returns to Malaysia with All-New Tropicolor Zones

Launched in 2011, The Color Run is a unique paint race that has been organised in over 200 cities and 40 countries and has attracted more than six million runners worldwide. The race has no winners or official times; instead, forget all your target pace and enjoy the time of your life.

Runners will be showered in color powder from head to toe at this “Happiest 5k on the Planet.” The white tee that you wear at the start of the race will be transformed into a colourful tee at the end of the race. After passing the finish line, join the party at the Finish Festival.

CIMB Group will be the presenting sponsor for The Color Run in three different countries for 2017: Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Singapore and Indonesia (Jakarta). Each city boasts a different theme and concept. The three runs are expected to attract more than 35,000 runners.

Tengku Dato’ Sri Zafrul Aziz, Group Chief Executive of CIMB Group, said,

The Color Run™ brings with it a strong following and I am excited to see the return of this event to not just one, but three of our key markets this year. The vibrancy of this colourful event aptly reflects ASEAN’s diversity, the exact quality that CIMB embraces and promotes in its vision to become the region’s leading universal bank. I look forward to the festivities and having a great time at all three runs, which provide a fun platform for CIMB to engage with its customers and local communities, to demonstrate how we continue to support their different lifestyles and goals through our new brand promise “Forward”. I’m confident that participants are in for an exciting and memorable experience.

Robbie Henchman, Senior Vice President, Head of IMG Asia Pacific, organiser of The Color Run said,

We couldn’t be more thrilled to see The Color Run™ return to three amazing cities in the region this year. Attracting everyone from all walks of life, and marked by endless fun and a non-competitive element, the growth of the event has been phenomenal and the people have embraced it with much enthusiasm over the years. We would like to extend our gratitude to CIMB Group for their renewed support for this wonderful event platform.
