It is undeniable that running alone has many benefits. But, sometimes we do get bored of running alone and we crave for social interactions while indulging in our favourite activity. With such a vibrant running community in Singapore, you’ll have a blast running together with other running enthusiasts.

Here are 5 free running sessions in Singapore you may not have heard before, and they are free and open for everyone.

parkrun

Every Saturday, parkrun organises free 5km timed runs around the world. Open for everyone, these runs usually take place in pleasant parks surroundings. In Singapore, there are 2 parkrun events: East Coast Park parkrun and West Coast Park parkrun. Both events start at 7:30 a.m. every Saturday.

Runners are required to register only once before their first run, and they can turn up at any parkrun anywhere in the world. On the day of the run, runners need to present a printed copy of their barcode in order to receive the result of the run. At the end of each run, grab a cup of coffee and mingle with fellow parkrun runners.
