he Great Eastern Women’s Run is back! This November, Asia’s largest all-women run aims to attract 17,000 runners, underlining Great Eastern’s continuing commitment to helping women live well and stay healthy.

Overcast skies did not stop 14,000 female runners from gathering at the Marina Bay Floating Platform with only one aim in mind – to Live Great. With 5km, 10km and 21km routes, there were categories that appealed to ladies from all age groups. The generous cut-off timings also helped to calm the nerves for first-time runners.
Close to 15,000 enthusiastic female runners gathered excitedly with their besties at The Float@Marina Bay on 11 November 2012. Honest to goodness female camaraderie filled the atmosphere, as fellow runners greeted each other with an encouraging smile and words of encouragement as they awaited the start of Asia’s largest women’s only race. It is good to know that The Great Eastern Women’s Run is a key initiative under Great Eastern’s Live Great Program which promotes health and wellness through sports. The key of this program is to help women, live healthier, better and longer.
It was a laid-back Sunday Morning at East Coast Park where a group of over 40 female participants gathered together at 7.30am for a common purpose: train for their upcoming Great Eastern Women’s Run 2012. All decked up in sporty gears in anticipation of the workshop starting.
