I’ve recently come back to live in Australia after spending 18 months residing in Singapore. And what a blast I had. The recreational running scene in Singapore is at an all time high with a record number of events in 2014. And skoot over to Australia and I’m not to be disappointed. Recreational running is one of Australia’s most popular sporting activities now spawning it’s own dedicated facebook page promoting events across the country.

Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore (SCMS) 2015 today announced the world’s first digital queue for a mass participation sporting event, allowing participants to register for the SCMS using social media. The new social initiative, which will be launched on 1 July, is designed to boost interaction with Singapore’s running community.

The Laguna Phuket International Marathon, organised by Go Adventure Asia, took place on 7 June 2015 and offered a 2 km kids run, 5 km community run, 10.5 km, Half-Marathon and Full marathon. The race started and finished at the beautiful Laguna Phuket, Thailand.
