On a Saturday morning, nearly 100 Shape Run 2013 participants gathered at East Coast Park at the crack of dawn. They were all ready and thrilled to go for a good 5 kilometres run in preparation of the upcoming Shape Run in July. Runners can also choose to carry on to complete 10 kilometres if they feel good to go.

The luminous fusion of lime-green and fuchsia pink was certainly eye-grabbing and I personally favour how the shoe doesn’t appear “overly-feminine” despite the loud tone of pink. The hint of neon-green brought zest and I was all excited to lace up and hit the trails. Don’t be fooled by the thickness of the sole, the cushioning provided a snug fit and there was sufficient ankle support.

You try to lead a healthy lifestyle, but sometimes it’s hard to get out of bed, lace up your shoes, and go to the gym. After a long day, exercise may be the last thing you want to do. Running however, is one of the best ways out there to relieve stress and improve your mood. When a shoe comes with a reputation having won the “best debut” in Runners’ World Magazine back in 2010, expectations of its third iteration would naturally be high. However, the Saucony Kinvara 3 exceeded my expectations and gave me a ride to remember! Having worked out the minor flaws in the first two Kinvaras, Saucony went back to the drawing board and gave us a beauty to behold!
