Penang Bridge International Marathon 2015: Panoramic Views from World’s Third Longest Bridge
Come Sunday, 22 November 2015, the Asics Penang Bridge International Marathon 2015 will be expecting a staggering 27,000 and counting runners. The third longest bridge in the world, the Penang Bridge is renowned for its panoramic view of the “Pearl of the Orient”. Carrying on the tradition since 1985, traffic to the Penang Bridge will be closed for this special event.
Following this year’s successful launch, the Asia Trail Master series return in 2016 with a race calendar that’s even larger and more diverse. Choosing from race venues in over a dozen Asian countries, runners will be competing against one another for points. The aim? To fulfil a Grandmaster Quest to finish six trail races, at least 70 km each, within two calendar years.
There’s nothing “standard” about the world-famous Singapore Standard Chartered Marathon, thus this popular running event staged every year is cause for celebration and reflection. Expect the 33rd Singapore Marathon, scheduled for 5 and 6 December 2015, to surpass expectations, attract star-quality athletes and turn the nation into the biggest party site on Earth.
