Some anxiety is a normal part of any competition, but what happens when pre-race jitters are keeping you from reaching your potential or making this sport no longer enjoyable? Taking place on Sunday, 12 April 2015, the second Pyongyang Marathon will open the 10km, half marathon and full marathon race categories to amateur runners. Spaces are filling up fast as the IAFF-recognised race held in the capital of North Korea has capped the number of amateur participants at 500. Official partners with Pyongyang Marathon 2015, Koryo Tours will help to facilitate registration for international runners, who are required to enter as part of an organised tour group.

Hosted for the second time, Ho Chi Minh City Run 2015 powered by La Vie was a pounding success, bringing together 6,348 runners of all ages. Eager participants gathered on Nguyen Khac Vien Street, Phu My Hung in the cool of dawn on Sunday, 18 January 2015. Buzzing with energy, more than 4,700 participants took on the 5km route. Meanwhile, 925 10km-runners and 658 half-marathoners conquered the bridge, taking in breathtaking sights from Crescent Lake and Phu My Bridge.
As runners, we all know there are off day activities that can be enjoyable, as well as improve your performance. However, even if you’re just a runner for fun and aren’t all that concerned with PR (like many), motivation is still a key factor in taking that next run. Admittedly, sometimes those off day activities are drudgery. Sometimes the run itself can be drudgery, so instead of lazing around and falling into the lull of inactivity, let’s get up on our feet and get some extra push on those off days.
