You’ve heard our take on the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2011. Now hear it straight from the horse’s mouth. RunSociety scoured the FINISH grounds at the Padang and attained some invaluable feedback from runners.
When registration figures hit 35,000 in record-breaking fashion within nine days sometime back in July, RunSociety had its eyebrows raised. Amidst the slew of other races that envelope Singapore’s saturated race calendar, we were aware that the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore (SCMS) had gained some commendable traction during its pre-race phase.
The much talked about and hyped up Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore is now within reaching distance. And with a 70,000-strong crowd set to flood the streets, expect a sea of blue to engulf the city’s landscape as runners take on four different routes.
The 100PLUS RunMaster application for the iPhone and iPod is every runner’s personal digital running trainer. Developed with marathon professionals, the app is designed to help runners improve their running game.
We’d say it’s a perfect warm-up for next week’s Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore, of which a vast majority of those who participated in the Montrail – Mountain Hardwear Tiong Bahru Challenge would have to agree.
