Launched in 2003, this is the first international marathon in Lebanon and has evolved into one of the most successful running events in the region. Having grown to include more than 37,000 runners, the Beirut International Marathon has repeatedly proven itself to be a beacon of hope and inspiration in the strife-torn Middle East.

Local legend has it that a mother dragon and her children were sent from the heavens to help the ancient Vietnamese in an epic battle against invaders. ‘Halong’ means “descending dragon” in Sino-Vietnamese – that’s how Halong Bay got its name.

Often touted as the toughest local trail race, the Singapore leg of this global ultra-marathon series saw about 3,000 daring participants conquer tough, hilly terrains and challenging cut-off times. In its 8th year running, The North Face 100 Singapore comprised of 50 km (Solo and Duo), 25 km and 13 km race categories. Making up 37% of the participants are trail runners from around the world, including Malaysia, Japan, France, and the UK, just to name a few.
