Often touted as the toughest local trail race, the Singapore leg of this global ultra-marathon series saw about 3,000 daring participants conquer tough, hilly terrains and challenging cut-off times. In its 8th year running, The North Face 100 Singapore comprised of 50 km (Solo and Duo), 25 km and 13 km race categories. Making up 37% of the participants are trail runners from around the world, including Malaysia, Japan, France, and the UK, just to name a few.
Some 35,000 participants are expected to turn up for the Shanghai International Marathon this Sunday, 8 November 2015. This year, the international event in Shanghai, China is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

It has been 10 years since the Great Eastern Women’s Run first started. This year, 17,000 women participated in the run, breaking the record for the largest number of participants in an all-women run in Asia. Singapore has been plagued by haze conditions in recent months which has already seen several mass sporting events being cancelled due to health risks. However, the mass running event on Sunday, 1 November flagged off in great mood as the haze dispersed which saw increased participation in all three categories: 5 km Fun Run, 10 km Run and 21.1 km Half Marathon.
The New Balance Run On Singapore saw over 4,000 participants attending the inaugural event despite the hazy weather last Saturday, 24 October 2015. A non-competitive walk was held in lieu of a race but participants kept their spirits high.
